About Our Firm

Portafolio Capital Management is an independent wealth and capital management firm based in San Antonio, Texas. With over 14 years of combined investment and macro-economic analysis experience, our goal is to instill confidence in investors through how we view markets and our investment approach.

As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and fiduciary, we are held to the highest standard when it comes to managing your money and are bound by law to act solely in the best interest of our clients.

Transparency & Trust

Unlike most publicly traded banks and institutions, Portafolio Capital Management is independently and privately owned. Our goal of servicing clients isn't conflicted by 'quarterly profit' reporting to shareholders. Our sole focus is to service the individuals and institutions that need us most and grow alongside our clients.

While the "clients first" fiduciary standard is something that we believe should be applied across the entire financial industry, we understand that many institutions fail to deliver just that because of the capital structure of their corporation. We invite you to experience a different standard and relationship here at Portafolio Capital Management. We believe that our unique perspectives in investment strategy mold our value proposition to our clients.

No Sales-Commissions. Portafolio™ is a Fee-Only Investment Firm.

As a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor, we do NOT charge sales commissions. Our firm makes money by charging a nominal percentage on the assets under management (AUM). This means that what's good for our clients is ultimately good for us. As your investment portfolio grows, we also grow.

If you're unsure or uneasy about how your money is being managed at your current institution, we invite you to meet with us for a no-obligation portfolio review.

Our Process As Independent Investment Advisors

1

Discovery Intake

We begin with a confidential questionnaire so we can understand your family’s full financial picture, your current accounts, and what you want to accomplish over time.

2

Exploring What Matters Most

Next, we sit down and listen. We talk through your goals, your concerns, and the why behind the numbers, then turn those priorities into clear near term and long term objectives.

3

Portfolio and Planning Blueprint

Our investment team builds a personalized roadmap that aligns with your goals and comfort level. This includes your portfolio strategy, risk approach, and key planning considerations, then we implement it with discipline and transparency.

4

Ongoing Reviews and Adjustments

We stay engaged through regular check ins to track progress and make updates as life changes, markets shift, or tax rules evolve, so your plan stays current and resilient.

Management works to prioritize stability and long-term growth. With a balanced approach, management invests 50% of the portfolio in equities (such as individual stocks or ETFs) for potential capital appreciation and 50% in fixed income instruments (such as bonds or fixed income ETFs) for steady income and risk mitigation. By blending the growth potential of stocks with the stability of bonds, we aim to navigate market fluctuations while achieving sustainable returns.
